Inter Milan brought their total of points for the season to 92 with their Serie A win over Frosinone.
In an historical context, though, the Nerazzurri reached a much bigger number.
Over nearly a century in the Italian top flight, Inter have played in both the two- and three-points-for-a-win era.
And only one team has picked up more points over that time than the Nerazzurri. Their Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus.
Football statistics account Opta highlighted this in a tweet.
Opta tweeted that, “With today’s success, Inter has won 4600 points in #SerieA (since 1929/30), becoming only the second team to reach this milestone in the history of the tournament, after Juventus. Stars.”
