Inter Eye Up Napoli Captain Di Lorenzo As Replacement For Aston Villa Target Dumfries

One club who are very alert to Di Lorenzo’s situations is current Italian champions Inter.

The Nerazzurri could be making a signing for the right flank this summer.

That is because wingback Denzel Dumfries could be on his way out.

At present, the Dutchman’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of next June. Should he not sign a new deal, then the Nerazzurri will aim to sell him this summer.

And there is interest in Dumfries’s signature.

The Gazzetta report that Aston Villa in particular see the 28-year-old as a target to strengthen for their first season back in the Champions League.

Inter would want a fee of around 30 million to sell Dumfries.

And should the former PSV man leave, then Inter would see Di Lorenzo as a perfect replacement.

The Napoli captain has plenty of experience. He also has the versatility to play at either right-wing-back or on the right of a back three in the system that Inter use.

Moreover, the Gazzetta notes, Di Lorenzo’s wages of 3 million net per season would be quite straightforward for Inter to accommodate.
