Emil Audero could leave Inter Milan at the end of the season to join Como, with Bento or Josep Martinez the main targets to replace him.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Audero has been at Inter this season on loan from Sampdoria.

The Nerazzurri signed the 27-year-old on a season-long loan deal last summer. He joined as the backup to Yann Sommer, who came in from Bayern Munich.

Audero was part of a complete revamp in goal for Inter, following the sales of Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic.

This season, Audero has made a total of five appearances for Inter. Three have come in Serie A, whilst he has played once each in the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

Inter have a purchase option to sign Audero for 7 million.

However, there is great doubt regarding the Nerazzurri deciding to outlay that amount on the former Juventus keeper.

The key reason for this is that Inter do not see Audero as a player to take over the starting spot from Sommer in the long term.

Emil Audero Could Leave Inter For Como – Bento & Martinez Possible Replacements

According to Tuttosport, there is serious interest in Audero’s signature from Serie A new boys Como.

The Lombard side achieved promotion to Serie A from the second division. And they are looking to make signings to bring their squad up to the level of the top flight.

A player with as much Serie A experience as Audero would certainly be a natural profile for Como to seek out in this regard.

Therefore, should Inter not sign Audero on a permanent basis, then Como would be a natural destination for him.

Meanwhile, Inter’s intention in goal would be to sign a player they see as capable of replacing Sommer in the long term.

Naturally, the profile sought would be younger.

And according to Tuttosport, there are two main targets for Inter.

One is Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento. And another is Genoa’s Josep Martinez.
