Inter Milan could still make one more attacking signing before the end of the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet anticipate that any new striker would likely be a player the Nerazzurri identify towards the end of the window.

Inter are already making at least one attacking signing for the upcoming season.

31-year-old Iranian international striker Mehdi Taremi is arriving on a free transfer from Porto.

Taremi will, for all intents and purposes, take the place of Alexis Sanchez in the squad. The Chilean will be on his way with his contract expiring.

However, FCIN report, there is a very real chance that Inter will decide to go into next season with five senior strikers in the squad rather than four.

That would be because of a request from Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi feels that at times this season, there was not sufficient depth in attack. Particularly when one of the strikers at his disposal was out with an injury.

Inter Milan Could Sign One More Striker This Summer

According to FCIN, however, Inter’s plan is not to make a big name signing in attack for a significant transfer fee.

Rather, the Nerazzurri will be on the lookout for opportunities in attack,

That means that, particularly as the closing of the transfer window comes into view more, the club will be on the lookout for free transfer or loan prospects.

The idea would, mainly, be to sign a player who has the quality to reinforce the depth – but not a potential starter.

On the other hand, if Marko Arnautovic were to leave, the plans could change a bit, reports FCIN.

The Nerazzurri would listen to offers for the Austrian.

And if Arnautovic were to leave then there is no doubt that Inter will aim to sign a new striker.
