Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio will be in attendance at this weekend’s Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Last season, all of Inter’s players and staff were at the Champions League final in Istanbul. This as the Nerazzurri reached that final.

They lost 0-1 to Manchester City, in heartbreaking fashion after having gone toe-to-toe with the Premier League juggernauts for ninety minutes.

This campaign, Inter’s Champions League disappointment came earlier.

The Nerazzurri had led 2-0 on aggregate against Atletico Madrid at one stage of their round of sixteen tie.

However, the Colchoneros came back to take the match to extra time and then penalties. Inter crumbled, and then meekly exited the competition via the ensuing shootout.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio Will Be At Borussia Dortmund Vs Real Madrid UCL Final

There will still be representation from Inter at this season’s Champions League final, however.

Tuttosport report that there will be representatives from new Inter owners Oaktree Capital.

The fund has a major office in London, the city where the match will be played. The final will be at Wembley Stadium.

Moreover, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio will be on hand to watch European club football’s most high-profile match. The Inter executive will not be on any specific scouting mission.

However, he will undoubtedly be keeping one eye on the players involved and thinking about transfers, as he always is.

Borussia Dortmund are the team that knocked out Atletico after the Spanish side had eliminated Inter. They subsequently beat Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are in the final of the Champions League yet again.

Los Blancos have won the competition five times in the last decade. And they are favorites to win the trophy yet again.
