Oaktree are gradually implementing their own guidelines at Inter Milan, and they reportedly consider the new stadium a vital project for the club.

The US-based investment company took over the club last week following Suning’s default.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, this was a busy week for the Oaktree officials who are swiftly integrating themselves into the club’s hierarchy.

The Oaktree delegates met Inter coach Simone Inzaghi on Tuesday, alongside other sporting figures at the club.

On Wednesday, they focused on the financial aspect, holding a summit with the club’s corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello.

The talks included marketing and revenues, passing through the human resources area and the operations area.

But as the source explains, the new stadium project is of paramount importance to the new owners.

Oaktree considers it a crucial investment for the club’s long-term future, as it would help boost the income.

The American company has also laid the guidelines for the club’s future. The officials have stressed the importance of a solid and consistent project.

The source adds that the Oaktree officials will leave Milano before the weekend. However, they will soon return to the city for the shareholders’ assembly next Tuesday.

This meeting will witness the election of a new club president who will inherit Steven Zhang’s post.

The Chinese businessman had to relinquish his position after failing to find a solution before the loan’s deadline on May 20th.

A new board of directors will also be appointed next week.
