Almost the vast majority of the Inter Milan squad will be in action this summer between Euro 2024 and the Copa America, with only five players going on holiday.

The Nerazzurri enjoyed a glorious domestic campaign culminating with the Serie A title.

Simone Inzaghi’s men reached the finish line with five rounds to spare to unlock the club’s coveted second star.

But now, the bulk of the squad will be heading to international tournaments this summer, namely the European Championship in Germany and the Copa America in the United States.

As the Il Corriere dello Sport (via FcInterNews) notes, only five Nerazzurri players won’t be part of the prestigious tournaments.

This includes Iran international Mehdi Taremi who will join Inter as a free agent in the summer.

The short list also includes Carlos Augusto who failed to make the cut for the Brazil squad.

For his part, Yann Bisseck still plies his trade with Germany U21 rather than the first team.

Moreover, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has already announced his international retirement. And in any case, Armenia didn’t reach the finals of Euro 2024.

Finally, Francesco Acerbi was the latest addition to the list. The veteran joined the Italy camp but had to withdraw after failing to overcome a groin problem.

Inter Milan Stars Prepare To Invade Euro 2024 & Copa America

On the other hand, a host of players will represent the Serie A champions in both tournaments.

The Azzurri contingent includes Nicolo Barella, Davide Frattesi, Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco and Alessandro Bastoni.

France duo Benjamin Pavard and Marcus Thruam will be gunning for European glory. The same goes for Netherlands stars Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij.

The other Inter stars to participate in Euro 2024 are Marko Arnautovic (Austria), Yann Sommer (Switzerland), Hakan Calhanoglu (Turkey) and Kristjan Asllani (Albania).

On the other hand, Lautaro Martinez (Argentina) is heading to the Copa America. Canada international Tajon Buchanan will also take part.

Alexis Sanchez will represent Chile in the competition, but his contract with the Nerazzurri will expire this month.
