Lazio wingback Manuel Lazzari is eager to leave the capital side this summer, and has reportedly offered his services to Inter Milan.

The 30-year-old has been plying his trade at the Stadio Olimpico since 2019.

The Italian enjoyed two impressive campaigns with Simone Inzaghi at the helm, presenting himself as one of the most explosive wingbacks in Seire A.

So when the Italian manager made the move to Inter in 2021, Lazzari almost followed suit.

But eventually, the Nerazzurri opted to sign Denzel Dumfries to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right wing.

Therefore, Lazzari remained at Formello, but hasn’t been able to truly recapture the solid displays produced with Inzaghi in charge.

The Italian had his highs and lows under Maurizio Sarri, and fell further in the pecking order since Igor Tudor’s arrival.

According to FcInterNews, Lazzari shares a cold and distant relationship with the Croatian tactician.

Therefore, the former Spal wingback is desperate to find himself a new club.

As the source explains, the player’s entourage have already offered him to Inter. They’re hoping to reignite his career by reuniting him with Inzaghi.

This could be a timely solution for the Nerazzurri who risk losing Dumfries this summer.

Lazio Wingback Lazzari Offered To Inter Milan

The Dutchman’s contract will expire in 2025. The club is still trying to convince him to sign a new deal, but he must lower his hefty demands.

Otherwise, the Serie A champions will decide to sell the Netherlands star this summer to avoid losing him for free a year later.

This would leave a gap in Inzaghi’s squad, forcing the management to buy a new player.

Hence, the report believes Inter have added Lazzari to the shortlist.

However, a deal would depend on Lazio’s asking price, which shouldn’t be too high depending on the Italian’s age and current status in the squad.

The 30-year-old’s contract with the Biancocelesti is valid until 2027.
