Inter Milan have lined up Bologna winger Dan Ndoye as a possible replacement in the event that Denzel Dumfries leaves this summer.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports on his homepage that Ndoye would cost around €25 million, and would only be a target for Inter if Dumfries is sold.

Ndoye has only been a Bologna player for one season.

The Swiss international joined the Rossoblu last summer from Basel. He had also previously played for Nice in Ligue 1.

However, it hasn’t taken too long for Ndoye to establish a strong reputation in Serie A.

The 23-year-old has been a regular for Bologna, both as a starter and off the bench as they achieved an historic Champions League qualification.

Ndoye has made a total of 31 appearances in Serie A. He has scored one goal and assisted another in the process.

The Swiss also made two appearances in the Coppa Italia. He scored the goal that knocked Inter out in extra time of a round of sixteen tie.

Ndoye has marked himself out with his pace and dribbling ability since arriving at Bologna./

Inter Targeting Bologna’s Dan Ndoye As Dumfries Replacement

According to Sky transfer expert Di Marzio, Inter are among the clubs eyeing up a move for Ndoye.

He reports that the Nerazzurri have already made the initial contacts with Bologna regarding a prospective move.

Di Marzio reports that the Emilian club have given Inter a price tag of €25 million for the 23-year-old.

This would be a significant investment for Inter.

However, if the Nerazzurri are to sell wingback Denzel Dumfries this summer, then a move for Ndoye could be within reach financially.

Inter could sell Dumfries this summer. Everything will depend on the Dutchman’s contractual situation.

At the moment, Dumfries’s contract with the Nerazzurri runs until the end of next June.

If the former PSV wingback does not extend his deal, Inter will aim to cash in on him this summer.

Aston Villa are among the clubs linked to Dumfries if he is on the market.
