Marseille have already begun negotiations with both Inter Milan and with the representatives of Valentin Carboni.

This according to French outlet Footmercato, via FCInterNews. The outlet anticipate that the Ligue 1 side are serious in their interest in signing the Argentine teenager this summer.

19-year-old attacking midfielder Carboni is a player who looks to be at a crossroads at Inter this summer.

The teenager has really found his feet in the senior game over the last twelve months.

Last summer, Carboni joined Monza on loan. He spent the season growing into the Brianzoli starting eleven, but then returned to Inter at the end of the campaign as it was just a dry loan.

The form that Carboni showed at Monza earned him a place in the Argentina setup.

The 19-year-old made his first start for the Albiceleste senior team in a friendly against Guatemala in the leadup to the Copa America this summer.

And Carboni has also been in the squad at the tournament itself.

Despite this growth, Carboni does not look to have a place in the Inter senior team.

Therefore, the possibility has been more than raised of the Nerazzurri selling the Argentina.

All of Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Lazio are keen on Carboni. There has also been interest from the Premier League.

Marseille Begin Negotiations To Sign Inter Starlet Valentin Carboni

It is not only teams from Serie A who are keen to sign Carboni, though.

FootMercato confirm that Marseille are also targeting the 19-year-old.

And the interest from the French club is not just exploratory. According to FootMercato, everyone in their sporting staff as well as coach Roberto De Zerbi see Carboni as a serious target.

Marseille have already made contact with Inter about the 19-year-old, reports FootMercato.

And they have also done so with the representatives of the player, who they are aiming to convince.

Marseille are therefore aiming to speed up talks and sign Carboni relatively soon.
