Serie A side Empoli are considering a move to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter keeper Radu spent last season on loan with Bournemouth.

However, it was far from a successful loan spell for the Romanian.

Radu struggled for playing time at the Vitaly Stadium. Therefore, it was hardly a surprise when the Cherries declined to exercise a purchase option and sign him on a permanent basis.

Radu has gone out on loan a few times since joining Inter.

The Romanian had played for the likes of Cremonese and Troyes during the first and second halves of the 2022-23 season respectively.

Meanwhile, Radu also had spells with Genoa in Serie A.

Now, the question is whether Radu will be going next, considering that Bournemouth will not be bringing him back to the Premier League.

Inter will almost certainly have to sell the 26-year-old on a permanent basis.

Radu’s current contract with Inter runs out at the end of next June. Therefore, the Nerazzurri would have to extend his deal if they were to loan him out.

There have been reports that Inter are aiming to sell Radu to a club in the Saudi Pro League.

The Romanian had already been close to a loan to Al-Shabab in January. However, that move fell through due to bureaucratic reasons.

Empoli Consider A Move For Inter Keeper Andrei Radu

Radu could be back in Serie A next season, however.

According to Sky, Empoli are eyeing up a move for the Inter and Romania keeper.

Last season, the Tuscan club had keeper Elia Caprile on loan from Napoli.

However, it does not look as though Empoli will be bringing the 22-year-old back.

Therefore, Empoli are in search of a new goalkeeper this summer for incoming coach Ronberto D’Aversa.

According to Sky, Inter’s Radu is one candidate who the Tuscans are considering.
