Inter Milan are reportedly looking to finalize an agreement with Venezia over the transfers of Tanner Tessman and Gaetano Oristanio.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the two clubs are negotiating a potential swap deal involving the two players.

Tessman is a 22-year-old central midfielder who has been plying his trade in Venezia since 2021.

The American exploded onto the scene last season, cementing himself as one of the main stars of the Serie B campaign.

His exploits helped the Venetians secure a place in the playoffs and subsequently earn a promotion to the top flight.

As the Turin-based newspaper explains, several Serie A clubs are tracking Tessman this summer. However, Inter remain in the lead, and are now accelerating their attempts to put the deal over the line.

The USMNT star’s contract with Venezia will expire in June 2025. Therefore, the midfielder is available at a cut price, namely 5 million euros.

This is also the figure that Inter is seeking to collect from selling Oristanio. Therefore, a direct exchange could be on the horizon.

The Italy U21 starlet is a Nerazzurri youth product who spent the previous campaign on loan at Cagliari.

Genoa were reportedly close to signing Oristanio earlier this summer. However, Venezia’s entry changed the plan, with Inter more enticed to do business with the Lagunari.

The source adds that the Nerazzurri could leave Tessman on loan at Venezia for another year.

In return, the Italian champions are looking to maintain some control over Oristanio’s future by inserting a buy-back option for the attacking midfielder in their agreement with the new Serie A boys.
