Striker Marko Arnautovic is not keen to leave Inter Milan this summer despite interest from Fiorentina, Galatasaray, and Besiktas.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Veteran striker Arnautovic only joined Inter last summer.

The Austrian made the move on a two-year deal from Bologna.

Inter signed Arnautovic to add depth to the attack, and provide a different profile in attack – a physical centre-forward with strong holdup play attributes.

Arnautovic’s performances last season more or less lived up to expectations for the Nerazzurri.

The former West Ham United and Stoke City striker was a reliable backup option, although he did miss a couple of months in total due to injury.

Therefore, Inter are not exactly in a rush to offload Arnautovic this summer.

The 35-year-old’s contract runs until the end of next June. And if he is to stick around for the remaining season of his deal, he would have a place in the team.

In this respect, Arnautovic’s situation is quite different from that of Joaquin Correa.

At the same time, Inter would certainly listen to offers for Arnautovic.

The Austrian is earning around 3.5 million net per season. That is hardly a small amount for a player who isn’t a regular starter and turns 36 next season.

Then, it is not as though there has been zero interest in Arnautovic’s signature.

The Gazzetta note that Fiorentina have already come forward as possible suitors.

Then, Turkish champions Galasaray are also admirers of the Austria. Besiktas would also be keen to bring him to Istanbul.

However, the Gazzetta report, as of yet none of the possible new clubs have been convincing to Arnautovic.

The Austrian is happy where he is. His intention would be to stay put and see out the second season of his contract with Inter.
