Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram insists that his brother Marcus is the strongest in the family despite what the latter says.
Khephren’s arrival in Turin will light up an interesting brotherly rivalry in the Derby d’Italia.
The older sibling Marcus joined Inter Milan last summer and rapidly cemented himself as a pillar at Simone Inzaghi’s court.
For his part, Khephren decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by signing for the Bianconeri. Legendary French defender Lilian had represented Juventus between 2001 and 2006.
The arrival of the younger sibling in Turin sparked some back-and-forth brotherly banter on social media.
But on a more serious note, the two brothers only have words of praise for one another.
Marcus had suggested that his younger brother is stronger than him, but Khephran rebuked the notion, insisting that the Inter striker is the best of the bunch.
“Marcus says that I am stronger because he loves me deeply,” explained the former Nice midfielder during his Juventus unveiling (via FcInterNews).
“But for me, he is stronger. I am very happy for my brother, he has now become a regular starter for the national team.
“For me, he is a role model, the best in the family.

“Marcus plays as a striker which is the most difficult role. He scores a lot of goals, he is able to be a perfect assistman.
“So in my book, he is the strongest,” insisted Khephren.
The new Juventus striker also revealed how his father influenced his decision to join the Turin-based giants.
“Obviously, my dad told me that Juve is the greatest club in Italy and in the world for him.
“He told me to make the most of this opportunity.
“Did I challenge my brother for the Scudetto? The season hasn’t started yet, we’ll see how it goes”.
