Fiorentina have made an initial offer for Inter Milan linked Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports on his homepage that the Grifone have rejected the bid, but that that the clubs are in negotiations.;
Gudmundsson has been marked out as one of Inter’s major targets for the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri have been targeting the Icelandic international for months now. Meanwhile, the player himself is reportedly keen on the move.
However, signing Gudmundsson will not be easy for Inter. The reason is simple – Gudmundsson is not going to come cheap.
The 26-year-old scored fourteen goals and assisted a further seven last season.
Therefore, there is plenty of transfer interest in Gudmundsson. And Genoa will certainly look to exploit that by cashing in for a big fee if they are to sell Gudmundsson this summer.

Among the other clubs to have shown an interest in signing Gudmundsson has been Fiorentina.
La Viola had already shown an interest in the former AZ Alkmaar forward’s signature in January.
However, at the time, Genoa had no intention of losing Gudmundsson in midseason. Therefore, they were not ready to listen to offers for the Icelander.
However, the summer transfer window could be a different story.
And according to Sky transfer expert Di Marzio, Fiorentina have made their initial move.
Di Marzio reports that the Tuscan club’s first offer would be for an initial paid loan deal containing a purchase obligation.
Fiorentina would offer a €5 million loan fee up front, with a €20 million purchase obligation linked to certain conditions.
According to Di Marzio, Genoa have turned down this offer.
However, the Sky transfer expert anticipates, the talks are continuing between the clubs.
