Inter Milan will have to at least sell Joaquin Correa if they’re to sign another striker this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could also have to offload Marko Arnautovic.

One of the defining questions of the last few weeks of Inter’s summer transfer window will be whether or not the club make one more attacking signing.

A defender should arrive. The Nerazzurri are planning to bring in a player who can deputize for Alessandro Bastoni on the left of the back three.

And then of course there can always be shocks and surprises.

But it is in attack where there is a real “will they or won’t they?” question regarding Inter’s transfer plans.

Inter Milan Must Sell Correa – And Possibly Arnautovic – To Sign A Striker

Inter’s friendly match against Pisa gave a clear indication of why the team are thinking about signing a striker.

The Nerazzurri struggled to find any sort of cutting edge in the final third throughout the friendly clash.

Inter started the match with Correa and Arnautovic leading the line as a front two.

And neither of those two forwards looked at all convincing.

Therefore, there are some doubts about the depth in attack that Inter will have for the season to come, particularly considering that it will be an unusually long campaign with the new Club World Cup format.

Selling Martin Satriano should bring in some cash that could go towards an attacking signing.

But according to the Corriere, that would not be enough on its own.

Inter must also sell Correa. Of course, the Argentine has never looked as though he has a place in the plans, but that does not mean that finding a new club for him will be easy.

Meanwhile, the Corriere anticipate, Inter may also have to sell Marko Arnautovic if they are to sign another forward.
