Retired Italian striker Antonio Floro Flores tips Inter Milan to retain their Serie A title, partially thanks to the competence of their manager Simone Inzaghi.
The Nerazzurri prevailed in the previous campaign while leaving their opponents in the dust.
Juventus initially tried to stay in touch with their blood rivals in the standings. But the Old Lady faded in the long run, leaving the path open for Inter’s inevitable triumph.
Nevertheless, the Bianconeri and the rest of the field are trying their best to bridge the gap with the reigning champions.
Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli have all sacked their coaches at the end of last season, bringing in more exciting replacements.
Moreover, the three clubs have been working hard on signing reinforcements.
For their part, Inter have been relatively quiet on the market. Although they acted quickly and decisively to sign Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi, they have been lagging in other departments.
For instance, the club has yet to secure the new defender they have been seeking for weeks. This could become an issue, especially following Stefan de Vrij’s recent injury, as it could leave Inzaghi short of options at the back.
The same goes for attacking reinforcement, even though, Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic should soon recover from their injury problems.
In this day and age, it’s not always easy to stay up-to-date with all the relevant updates, especially with so much action on display. Therefore, a football fanatic needs to find the best betting sites to remain in touch with the happenings, and potentially place smart bets while being well-informed.
But despite the latest developments, Floro Flores still tips Inter to lift the Scudetto title for the second year running.
Antonio Floro Flores Applauds Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi
The 41-year-old notes that the reigning champions almost always start as the favorites in the title race.
Moreover, the former Udinese striker feels that Inzaghi remains an important winning card for the Nerazzurri.
“When you win, you always start as the favorite,” said Floro Flores during his appearance on Sportitalia via FcInterNews.
“Inzaghi is a great coach. He has proven that he knows how to play great football and that he has a team that follows him to the bitter end.
“And when a coach achieves his objectives, it means he knows how to do his job well.
“If you manage to stay at a top club like Inter for so many years and make yourself loved, it means you are a great coach and a great person as well.
“I hear the players talking about him. Everyone speaks well of Simone. This must be an extra reason for pride because the man behind the coach is too important.”
The retired striker also heaped praise on his former teammate Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean has recently ended his second stint at Inter and is preparing to make his long-awaited return to Udinese.
“Sanchez is an extraordinary player. A return to Udine would be a nice happy ending for his playing career,
“It would be a nice recognition, maybe then retiring at the club that gave him the springboard to the football that matters. That would be a great scenario.”
