Issiaka Kamate Inter Milan

Young Inter Milan winger Issiaka Kamate is on the verge of signing for AVS Futebol on loan with an option to buy.

As reported earlier today, the two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer.

The 20-year-old will sign for the Portuguese club on an initial loan deal but the switch could become permanent at the end of the season. This would cost AVS Futebol two million euros.

The Nerazzurri will also maintain control over the player’s future through a buy-back clause. They can trigger it by repaying the sum they received from Portuguese counterparts in addition to an extra 250,000 euros.

So while this operation was initially reported by the Italian press, confirmation has arrived from Portugal.

According to Record via FcInterNews, Kamate’s transfer to Portugal will become official in the next few hours.

The source expects the Frenchman to land in the Iberian country on Monday to join his new teammates.

AVS Futebol secured promotion to the Portuguese top flight last season, so they’ll be looking to make a strong first impression this term.

For his part, Kamate will enjoy his first professional experience after spending years within Inter’s developmental ranks.

The France native joined the Nerazzurri in 2020 after starting his playing career at Montfermeil.

This summer, he joined Simone Inzaghi’s senior squad in their pre-season preparation. He made several appearances as a right wingback while Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries were still on vacation.

Nevertheless, Kamata was going to struggle for playing time this season with the first team. Hence, Inter preferred to find him a new accommodation.

The French-Ivorian’s contract with the Beneamata remains valid until June 2026.
