Inter Milan are already exploring their options on the market to revamp their backline, keeping tabs on Olivier Boscagli, Danilho Doekhi and Oumar Solet.
Simone Inzaghi has been relying on Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij as his main options for the central defender role over the past two years or so.
However, the Italian is 36 while the Dutchman is 32. Moreover, both veterans are currently running on expiring contracts.
So this could prove to be the right timing to replace them – or at least one of the two – with a younger profile.
As reported earlier in the day, Inter set their sights on Jonathan Tah who’s running on an expiring contract. The German could finally leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season, but Bayern Munich might be leading the race.
Therefore, the Italian champions may have to look elsewhere.
So according to Tuttosport via FcInter1908, the Nerazzurri are tracking three other out-of-contract defenders.
Inter Milan Following Olivier Boscagli, Danilho Doekhi & Oumar Solet
The first is Boscagli, a 26-year-old French centre-back who currently plies his trade at PSV Eindhoven.
The Monaco native started his career at Nice before moving to the Netherlands in 2019.
While he mainly operates as a central defender, Boscagli can also play as a left-back or a defensive midfielder.
The source then mentions, Doekhi, a 26-year-old Dutchman who rose through the ranks at Ajax. He then went on to make his bones at Vitesse, and has been at Union Berlin since 2022.
Finally, Solet is a 24-year-old Frenchman who started his career at Lavallois before moving to Olympique Lyonnais. He has been playing his football at RB Salzburg since joining the Austrian giants in 2020.
