Napoli manager Antonio Conte claims the training ground at Appiano Gentile was in a miserable state upon his arrival at Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri appointed the Lecce native as head coach in the summer of 2021 as a replacement for Luciano Spalletti.
The former Chelsea and Italy boss led the club towards the Europa League final in his first season at the club.

The 55-year-old then decided to walk vacate his post after learning about the club’s plans to offload some key stars.
Following a brief spell at Tottenham Hotspur, Conte returned to Serie A, this time through the gates of Napoli.

“These are important elements in any club. I also arrived at Inter and Appiano was a disaster. We worked a lot on the pitches and the guesthouse. Now, Appiano is a jewel in the crown.
“A sports center at the end of the season can give you a few points. Napoli today is at a level that it is right to continue to develop.”
