Paulo Dybala and Artem Dovbyk will start in attack for Roma against Inter Milan tomorrow despite injury scares.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Roma coach Ivan Juric has had one or two reasons to worry about the fitness of key players ahead of his team’s return to Serie A action from the international break.
Winger Stephan El Shaarawy will be out for a few weeks. There’s no doubt about that after the Italian international suffered a calf strain.
But the real doubts have concerned Paulo Dybala and Artem Dovbyk.
Both of the pair have been dealing with muscular knocks.
In the case of Dybala, the Argentine missed a few matches prior to the international break.
The former Juventus player was out of action due to a muscle injury.
This has been an unfortunate theme across Dybala’s time at both Roma and Juventus.
Dybala is not a player who has dealt with any truly bad injuries. However, the minor muscular problems have piled up and caused him to miss sequences of a few matches here and there.
Dybala used the international break as an opportunity to work his way back to fitness.
And there’s not been any doubt that the 30-year-old would be back soon.
But the question concerned whether or not Dybala would be ready for Roma’s first match back from the break against Inter.
Paulo Dybala & Artem Dovbyk To Start For Roma Vs Inter
According to the Corriere, there is no doubt that Dybala will be ready to start tomorrow, though.
There would be no risks fitness-wise with having the Argentine start.
And the same is true of Ukrainian international striker Artem Dovbyk.
The former Girona man picked up a minor muscle problem during the international break.
But that is already behind Dovbyk. He can therefore start for the Giallorossi tomorrow.
The Corriere’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for tomorrow’s match is as follows:
Roma (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, N’Dicka, Hermoso; Celik, Cristante, Koné, Angeliño; Dybala, Pellegrini; Dovbyk.
