Yann Sommer was one of several Inter Milan first-team stars to appear in Monday night’s Ballon d’Or gala.

Last season’s best Serie A goalkeeper attended the ceremony alongside Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The formidable trio formed the backbone of Inter’s inexorable march to their 20th Scudetto in 2023/24.

After the ceremony, Sommer took to Instagram to celebrate the occasion.

He posted a photo expressing his delight about joining a select group of players to be at the ceremony.

“Such an amazing time! Proud,” was the caption alongside the image.
