Inter Milan wingback Matteo Darmian expects Arsenal to give the Nerazzurri a run for their money in tonight’s heavyweight clash.

During his pre-match chat with Prime Video, as reported by FCInterNews, Darmian urged his teammates to be careful.

Giuseppe Meazza sets the stage for a high-stakes UEFA Champions League fixture later this evening.

Familiar with Arsenal following his brief stint at Manchester United, Darmian delivered his verdict on the Gunners.

“A great club comes to mind, with great history and football culture,” he admitted.

“In these two years with Arteta, they’re playing great football, with quality.

“Tomorrow, we will need a great performance to bring home the victory.”

There’s nothing but goal difference to separate the teams ahead of the kick-off.

Both sides have yet to concede a goal in Europe this season, highlighting the potential for a cagey affair.

Veteran Inter Milan Star Matteo Darmian Calls For Caution Ahead Of Arsenal Clash

“Everything, because in these matches, it is the details that make the difference,” Darmian replied when asked what is the thing Inter must pay attention to.

“We will have to work well as a team in both phases, trying to put them in difficulty.

“In front of our audience, we will try to do our best to win.”

Darmian admits he doesn’t remember Mikel Arteta during the Spaniard’s stint at Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.

“Not really about him, but Manchester City played and still plays beautiful football.

“Many watch them to learn, and it is a team to watch.

“We, however, are also a great team, and when you play for big clubs like Inter, ambitions must always be high.

“So we will try to do our best to achieve our goals.

“We know we must work as a team both defensively and offensively.

“Our attackers are crucial, we know how important they are and how they make a difference.

“They will do it again this year.”
