Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez says the Nerazzurri “want to win everything” after their 1-0 Champions League win over Arsenal.

The Nerazzurri skipper spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after the final whistle.

Inter certainly made a big statement of their ambitions at the San Siro yesterday.

The Nerazzurri beat Premier League giants Arsenal to go to ten points in the Champions League “league phase” so far this season.

Inter have played four matches in the competition. They have yet to concede a single goal.

And, while the wins over Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys in particular posed problems of their own, the two results that stand out came against Arsenal and Manchester City.

Away to City on opening day, Inter secured a precious point. Playing away to a team who are undeniably one of the favourites to win the competition the result came as a big boost.

And Inter went one better yesterday.

Once again the Nerazzurri were up against one of a handful of teams with a realistic shot of going all the way in the Champions League.

And Inter took three points, in convincing fashion even if it required a lot of discipline and some suffering.

Inter Captain Lautaro Martinez Declares “We Want To Win Everything” After Arsenal Win

After yesterday’s victory, Inter captain Martinez declared that “The best thing in this match is, first and foremost, the three points.”

“And the fight we put up. These are all important matches for the table in this competition.”

“We have ten points and that’s a lot,” Martinez said.

“We haven’t conceded a goal yet,” he noted. “That’s another important aspect, because we’ve conceded quite a few in the league.”

“That means that we’re working well. And then we know this is a competition that comes down to the details.”

“We have to keep going the way we have been and try to do more every day,” said Martinez.

As far as Inter’s ambition in the Champions League, the captain said that “You know us.”

“We want to win everything,” he made clear. “Because this club can do it, its history shows that.”

“I’ve always said it since I arrived here,” Martinez said. “I want to win everything.”

“The league title, the Champions League, the Coppa Italia.”
