Since joining Inter Milan, Yann Bisseck has gone from a name very few would have heard to a player who has shone on the biggest stage.

This is highlighted by Italian outlet FCInterNews.

Inter signed Bisseck in the summer of 2023. They brought the German in for a fee of around 7.5 million from Danish club Aarhus.

When Bisseck arrived, most Inter fans will have had to look the player’s name up.

Given that the German had been playing in the relatively obscure Danish top flight, it is not as though he had a high profile.

And the expectation was that, with making the step up to a league like Serie A.

And so it proved. Bisseck barely featured in his first few months at Inter.

In November and December of last year, however, the German began to regularly get starts. Particularly towards the end of the year, an injury to Benjamin Pavard handed him a run in the team.

Once Bisseck had his foot in the door, he was not about to go back to being on the fringes.

Over the second half of last season, the 23-year-old had numerous opportunities. Both from the start and from the bench.

Bisseck got a memorable first goal for Inter, in a 1-0 Serie A win against Bologna.

The German contributed his part to Inter’s Serie A title win, just a year after he had been playing in Denmark.

And at the start of this season, Bisseck has only built on that.

The German has alternated with Benjamin Pavard in Inter’s starting eleven in the league.

And in Europe, Bisseck has made his biggest contributions. He has caught the eye of Europe with his defensive displays to help Inter keep clean sheets against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
