Having lost key striker Duvan Zapata to a long-term injury earlier in the season, Torino are ready to turn to Inter Milan outcast Joaquin Correa as his replacement.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Stampa, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Granata have identified Argentina international Correa as a viable option to sign in the January transfer window.

Colombian striker Zapata suffered an ACL tear against Inter in October and is likely to miss the rest of the season, forcing Torino to move for another attacker as soon as possible.

Correa has found playing time difficult to come by at Inter and his contract is due to expire in the summer, paving the way for a move to Turin.

The Granata would need to find an arrangement with Inter to secure former Lazio man Correa in January rather than in the summer, and are working on a deal.

However, Torino are also weighing up other options including Fiorentina’s Christian Kouame, Al-Taawoun’s ex-Bologna forward Musa Barrow, and Giovanni Simeone of Napoli.
