Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is growing increasingly convinced by Atalanta defender Isak Hien and he could become the club’s key target next summer.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are in the market for a defender to replace veterans Francesco Acerbi and Stefan De Vrij.

Sweden international Hien has impressed for Atalanta since joining from Hellas Verona in January and Inzaghi is reported to be enamoured by his ability and his consistency, as well as his record of creating goalscoring opportunities from the back

Hien would cost at least €35 million though, and it is a similar story for another Inter target in Udinese’s Jaka Bijol.

The Slovene is valued at €30m and Inter are certainly interested, but his impressive form has led to interest from the Premier League, as well as AC Milan.

Other options include Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi at a more affordable €15m, whilst Jonathan Tah is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen as a free agent but is being courted by Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.

Finally, Inter are monitoring Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior amidst an expectation that he will be put up for sale at €25m, with Juventus also interested.
