Inter Milan are considering their options as they seek a wide attacking player to add to coach Simone Inzaghi’s arsenal, and could move for Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, and as per FCInter1908.it, the Nerazzurri hierarchy are unconvinced after failing to dominate in Serie A as much as had been hoped.
It is felt that Inter have lost some of the momentum that carried them to the Serie A title last season and so a fresh option may help to turn things around in the second half of the campaign.
Having courted Chiesa in the summer as he was set to leave Juventus, Inter would be willing to revisit a deal for the Italian international, particularly as a loan move would satisfy owners Oaktree Capital’s desire not to overspend.
The former Fiorentina winger has failed to make an impact in the Premier League and Liverpool coach Arne Slot may be willing to let him go already, having just used him three times in all competitions.
Inter may also benefit from President Beppe Marotta having a strong relationship with Chiesa’s representatives, and so a loan deal in January could be on the cards.
