Inter Milan are ready to welcome wingback Carlos Augusto back to the fold as the Brazilian targets his return to competitive action following injury.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, Carlos Augusto is set to resume full training with the rest of the squad this week after building up his fitness over the international break.
The former Monza man has been out of action since suffering a muscle strain in the 1-0 win over Swiss club Young Boys in the Champions League on October 23.
Having missed over a month of action, Carlos Augusto has set his sights on being involved when Inter visit Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday and is expected to be included in the squad, even if he doesn’t start the match.
The twice-capped Brazil international has featured nine times in all competitions this season after making his loan move from Monza permanent in the summer.
