Inter Milan and Juventus are ready to go head-to-head to try and sign teenage Roma goalkeeper Renato Marin.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that Liverpool and Marseille are also among the clubs monitoring Marin.
Marin has emerged as a major goalkeeping prospect.
The 18-year-old has come through the Roma youth academy system. He is Brazilian-born but represents Italy at international, having done so at up to the Under-19 level.
Marin has played for Roma at various youth levels, up to the Primavera or Under-19 team.
And yesterday Marin was in the Giallorossi’s matchday squad for their Serie A clash with Napoli.
The teenage goalkeeper did not appear in the match, a 1-0 loss for his team. However, new Roma coach Claudio Ranieri’s decision to call him up to the squad represented a big show of confidence.
Tuttosport note that Marin has not only impressed with his shot-stopping ability. The teenage keeper also has impressive technical quality with the ball at his feet.
So much so, in fact, that Marin has a track record of taking set pieces and penalties at youth team level.

According to Tuttosport, Martin has come onto Inter’s radar.
The 18-year-old’s contract with Roma ends at the end of next June. Therefore, he could be free to pick a new club at the end of the season.
And Inter are very much hoping to convince the young goalkeeper to make the switch.
The Nerazzurri are not the only club in Serie A who see Marin as a potential goalkeeper for the future, though.
Tuttosport note that Juventus are also targeting Marin. They want to make the teenage keeper part of their Next Gen setup starting next season.
Meanwhile, both Liverpool and Marseille are also eyeing up a move for Marin, reports Tuttosport.
