Luka Topalovic is already proving his worth to Inter Milan after a shining display against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Youth League.

This is highlighted by Italian outlet FCInter1908. They note that the Slovenian scored two goals and also won a penalty in the European outing.

Inter signed 18-year-old midfielder Topalovic over the summer.

The Nerazzurri reportedly spent around €1 million to sign the Slovenian from Domzale.

That is not a massive fee. But it is hardly a small outlay on a teenage player who had yet to play outside of his home country of Slovenia.

Therefore, Inter were investing in the future by signing Topalovic. Not making a signing for the here and now.

Luka Topalovic Proving Money Well Spent For Inter With Display Vs Leipzig

Inter signed Topalovic to play for their Primavera or Under-19 team initially.

And the Slovenian has hit the ground running at the start of the campaign.

That was very apparent this week.

On the same day that Inter’s senior team beat RB Leipzig 1-0 in the Champions League, the Primavera took on their Under-19 Leipzig counterparts.

It was a 3-2 win for the Nerazzurri.

And Topalovic had a starring role. The teenage Slovenian won the penalty for Inter’s first goal to complete their comeback.

And then Topalovic scored goals number two and three. They were very well-taken goals which showcased his technical ability.
