Inter Milan are not likely to offload striker Marko Arnautovic during the January transfer window of this season.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri will likely stick with the Austrian until the end of the season, then sign a striker next summer.

Striker Arnautovic is currently in his second season back at Inter.

The Austrian rejoined the Nerazzurri from Bologna in the summer of 2023.

And while Arnautovic did get a fair few starts last campaign, this time around he has fallen further down the pecking order.

The arrival of striker Mehdi Taremi from Porto has ensured that.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa has also marked himself as a potential starter – as well as a major option off the bench – with his performance against Hellas Verona last month.

Inter Milan Unlikely To Offload Marko Arnautovic In January

The relative lack of playing time for Arnautovic has led to some rumours that he could already be on his way as early as next month.

However, according to Sky, that will not be the case.

Inter are happy with the depth that Arnautovic gives them in attack. Particularly with the season now heading into its busiest phase.

Inter consider Arnautovic to be a reliable option and a player who gives leadership and experience.

Therefore, Inter will happily keep Arnautovic until his contract expires at the end of June.

Then next summer, the Nerazzurri’s plan would be to sign a new striker to replace Arnautovic.
