Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi isn’t responding to Napoli coach Antonio Conte in the Serie A title race mind games.

The Nerazzurri coach said that he’s only focusing on his own team after Napoli’s Coppa Italia elimination in a press conference after yesterday’s Serie A win over Parma, via FCInterNews.

Napoli went out of the Coppa Italia at the round of sixteen this week.

The Partenopei were eliminated by Lazio after a Tijani Noslin hattrick.

This came in a match where Napoli coach Antonio Conte completely rotated his starting eleven from the team in Serie A.

It sent a clear message that for Conte, the priority is the league.

The former Inter, Chelsea, and Juventus coach was coy in his post-match comments. However, it was hard to overlook what he was going for.

In the past, whether with Inter, Chelsea, or Juventus, Conte has used a lack of knockout football in midweek as an advantage to gain momentum and consistency in league title races.

Inter Coach Inzaghi Not Reacting To Antonio Conte Mind Games

Inter coach Inzaghi admitted that “It’s always been acknowledged” that cup elimination can be a factor in league title races.

“Having more time to prepare for matches is always a help.”

“But everyone has their own path,” Inzaghi stressed. “I’ll think about Inter’s.”

“We have a massive fixture list with the Supercoppa. Everything is going to get trickier.”

“And now we also have the issue that Sunday’s match caused,” Inzaghi said of the game in hand against Fiorentina.

“That wasn’t easy for anyone. Bove is doing better, we’re happy about that, but those were difficult moments for everyone.”

And of his squad, Inter coach Inzaghi declared that “I have 25 players and I love them all.”

“They’re giving me everything,” he beamed.

“Thinking about our journey over the last three and a half years, I’m very proud.”

“Three and a half years ago, getting back to the round of sixteen in the Champions League was big for us,” Inzaghi said.

“And now, we have the Club World Cup to come.”
