Former Inter Milan defender Daniele Adani feels Inter Milan are “self-aware” in the Serie A title race, and Atalanta “not a miracle any more.”

Adani gave his thoughts on the brewing title race on Italian broadcaster RAI Sport, via FCInterNews.

The Serie A title race is certainly shaping up in a fascinating way.

This weekend saw more drama. Atalanta beat AC Milan convincingly to go top of the table, cementing their title credentials.

And Napoli suffered their second home defeat of the season against Lazio. That result both put a big dent in the Partenopei’s title charge, and put the Biancocelesti back on track as contenders after a loss to Parma.

Inter and Fiorentina, meanwhile, are three points back from Atalanta after wins over Parma and Cagliari.

However, there is a big asterisk. The Nerazzurri and La Viola have to play a makeup match. They faced off earlier this month, but the match was postponed.

Adani: Inter “Self-Aware” In Serie A Title Race, Atalanta “No Longer A Miracle”

Former Inter defender Adani is a big fan of what he’s seen from this title race.

“I think it’s the best I’ve ever seen,” he beamed.

“Inter have a squad that’s on another level to the other teams,” Adani argued.

“And they also have a sense of self-awareness,” he added. Inter have been here before, successfully seeing off Juventus in the title race last season.

“But Atalanta are now also truly a great team,” Adani argued.

“It was a miracle when they were here four or five years ago. Today, it’s just the way things are.”
