Inter Milan are considering mirroring AC Milan’s deal for Brahim Diaz to sign Real Madrid-linked Nico Paz.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport via FCInterNews, the reigning Scudetto champions haven’t lost hope of signing the Como prodigy.

Nico Paz joined the Serie A newcomers from Los Blancos in the summer for a reported fee of €6 million.

However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side inserted a buyback clause in the agreement.

Indeed, Real Madrid can bring the 20-year-old back for a measly €12m.

Ancelotti yesterday admitted the Iberian heavyweights are monitoring Paz’s meteoric rise under Cesc Fabregas.

Therefore, it’s only natural to assume that Los Merengues will trigger the clause next summer.

Inter Milan Not Giving Up on Signing Nico Paz

The Spaniards reportedly value their homegrown star at €20-25m.

Yet, Inter would preferably sign the Argentine starlet on loan, especially considering Beppe Marotta’s risk-averse market approach.

Marotta has never been a wasteful spender.

On the contrary, he’d use the same formula that brought Brahim Diaz to Milan in 2020.

Indeed, the Rossoneri signed the diminutive forward on a two-year loan without a buyout option.

However, everything depends on Real Madrid. Ancelotti’s charges still have to broker a deal with Como.

Until then, it’s pointless to talk about different scenarios.
