Simone Inzaghi offered a significant fitness update on Hakan Calhanoglu ahead of Inter Milan’s home match against Monaco.
During his pre-match talk with Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Inzaghi discussed the seriousness of tomorrow’s clash.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been on the sidelines since succumbing to a muscle injury in the Supercoppa Italiana final.
Indeed, the Turkish playmaker was unavailable for selection in Inter’s last five outings across all competitions.
Despite his absence, Inzaghi’s men have gone from strength to strength.
The Nerazzurri claimed four wins and a draw in that sequence, including a 2-1 win at Sparta Prague last week.
As a result, they only need a point against Monaco to progress into the Round of 16 automatically.
“Monaco is a quality team with excellent offensive players,” Inzaghi explained.
“We’ll need to play a great match. So far, we’ve done well in Europe, and now our goal is to secure qualification tomorrow night.
“The opportunity is there, and we know this is a crucial step.”
Inter Milan Boss Simone Inzaghi Delivers Fitness Update on Hakan Calhanoglu
Calhanoglu’s absence is a substantial blow for Simone Inzaghi.
However, the 30-year-old could return to fitness for Sunday’s mouth-watering Serie A clash against AC Milan.

“Tomorrow, he, Acerbi, and Correa – who is not on the list – will not be available.
“There’s a chance we could have Hakan back between Thursday and Friday. We’ll see if he’s ready for Sunday.”
Meanwhile, Inzaghi discussed the possibility of fielding Marko Arnautovic from the first minute against Monaco.
Furthermore, he opened up on Mehdi Taremi’s minor fitness problem.
“Taremi had a minor issue from the Lecce game this morning,” Inzaghi added.
“He trained in the gym yesterday and today but didn’t go out on the pitch.
“We’ll evaluate tomorrow, and there’s a good chance he’ll be available. Arnautovic is doing well; he trained well both yesterday and today.
“Tomorrow, I’ll assess all positions – we know how many matches we’ve had, and full focus will be required.”

its a bit strange to use the new comment section.
It’s the old function we had back in 2012-2018. Disqus has been crap for us
According to disqus I joined back in 2016, around the time I started following this website.
its bit strange to use this new comment section
The site are working on the amount of ads, and how difficult it is to leave a comment… hopefully it will get easier soon…
We have been told this will be fixed today. In the meantime, to immediately get to the comments section, directly under the image at the top of the article click on comments to get to comments section
Im more interested if the comments will be live especially during the live matches or are going to have to reload the page every time.
Should be live
The comment section is changed?
Yes! We moved from Disqus. Wasnt working for us the way we wanted.
But right now we have to login Name and Email to comment every time we want to talk. Kind of inconvenience. Any easier way for future maybe?
But are the comments going to be live especially during our live matches or are we going to have to reload the page all the time to see the newest comments?
You just log in once no?
its better now. discuss only work from smartphone. anyway hope hakan fit enough. i hate we losing twice form bilan.
test
I think everyone here uses their smartphone or else it would’ve been brought up. Hopefully it’s better but yeah the fact that we have to leave email and name it’s kind of inconvenient especially when we do our live chat during matches.
You shouldnt have to log in every comment. Like log in once should be ok.
If you have to log in send me an email on nima@sempreinter.com and explain the issue and Ill send it to the dev team.
