Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi are back in full training ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and AC Milan.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They also report that Joaquin Correa will not be fit for the derby, while the fitness of Mehdi Taremi is touch-and-go.
Inter have been without a few players due to injury in recent weeks.
Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been out since the Supercoppa Italiana final against AC Milan. The Turkish international picked up a thigh problem in that match, and then subsequently a calf strain.
Then, Francesco Acerbi has not featured since November. That is due to a nagging calf strain that he has struggled to fully recover from.
Calhanoglu & Acerbi Back In Full Training Ahead Of Inter Vs AC Milan Derby
According to FCIN, both Calhanoglu and Acerbi were able to train normally with the rest of their teammates today.
The pair did not quite finish the entire session. But signs were positive.

Therefore, if things continue in this direction, there is little question both Calhanoglu and Acerbi should be available against Milan in the derby on Sunday evening.
It is a different story for Inter forward Joaquin Correa, however.
FCIN report that the Argentine is still not fully recovered from a muscle problem that’s kept him out for the past few weeks.
And Mehdi Taremi has yet to make a return to full training. The Iranian will have his fitness assessed tomorrow. That should be decisive for whether or not he’s available against Milan.
