Inter Milan have beaten Juventus to the signing of Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Petar Sucic.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri will pay €14 million plus €2 million in add-ons for the 22-year-old.

Inter have been in talks with Dinamo Zagreb to sign Petar Sucic during the January transfer window.

The Croat is a player who the Nerazzurri have earmarked as a potential future starter in holding midfield.

Inter reportedly see Sucic as a player who can inherit the role from Hakan Calhanoglu. Particularly in the event that Kristjan Asllani is unable to really stake his claim on it.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta note, Sucic could numerically replace Davide Frattesi in the squad should the Italian international leave next summer.

However, reports the Gazzetta, Sucic preferred the move to Inter. He has already made up his mind.

Therefore, everything is ready for the Croatian international to make the move official.

Sucic will spend the rest of this season at Dinamo. However, the Gazzetta report, he will be in Inter’s squad for the Club World Cup next summer.
