Inter Milan signed Nicola Zalewski on loan from Roma toward the end of the January transfer window to address a wingback deficiency.
The 23-year-old painted his Nerazzurri debut in Sunday’s mouth-watering Milan derby with flying colors.
Introduced in the 76th minute by Simone Inzaghi, Zalewski provided a crucial assist to Stefan de Vrij.
Zalewski’s calmness inspired Inter to a stoppage-time equalizer, sparing Inzaghi’s further blushes after a Supercoppa Italiana fiasco.
Inter now took to X, showing the newcomer in the club’s trophy cabinet while saying: “First glances, first Nerazzurri smiles.”
