Inter Milan are still in the running to sign Lille striker Jonathan David, while Santiago Castro and Nikola Krstovic are also on their shortlist.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
The transfer links between Inter and Canadian international striker Jonathan David have been around for a while now.
The 25-year-old will certainly leave Lille at the end of the season. His contract with the Ligue 1 side runs out at the end of June, and he will not sign a new deal.
But the eventual destination for David remains uncertain.
There would be a number of clubs ready to vie for the prolific Canadian’s signature on a free transfer.
Inter Still In The Running For Jonathan David – Castro & Krstovic Also On Shortlist
The links to Inter have always made a measure of sense for Jonathan David.
The Nerazzurri have had a real eye for a free transfer in recent seasons. That is how they’ve signed all of Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Andre Onana, Marcus Thuram, Mehdi Taremi, and Piotr Zielinski.

However, there would be a lot of competition to sign David.
Moreover, reports have tended to suggest that David wants to join a club where he’ll be a first-choice starter.
It’s doubtful that Inter can offer that with Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram in the team.
However, reports Sky, Inter are still considering a move for David.
And in the meantime, the Nerazzurri’s two other main targets in attack both come from Serie A. They are Bologna striker Santiago Castro, and Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic.
