Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo insists Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco remains the most exciting wingback in Serie A.

The 27-year-old is one of the most popular players among the Nerazzurri supporters, partially because he’s one of them. But aside from his deeply rooted passion for the club, Dimarco has truly emerged as one of the finest players in his position across the globe.

When the Italy international tries his luck from long range, whether he’s shooting or crossing, he’s much more likely to hit than miss.

Unfortunately for Dimarco, he endured a forgettable cameo against Fiorentina on Thursday. The Italian was one of the culprits in Moise Kean’s second goal which sealed the Tuscans’ shocking 3-0 victory at the Artemio Franchi.

However, this blunder certainly won’t change the player’s status. After all, he remains one of the most influential players in the team thanks to his goals and seven assists this season.

Most fans and observers would agree that these are impressive figures for a wingback, especially at this stage of the campaign.

Marco Parolo Heaps Praise On Inter Milan Star Federico Dimarco

For Parolo, Dimarco remains the best in his position in Serie A, albeit Roma’s Angelino has been giving him a run for his money.

“Dimarco has done more incredible things than Angelino,” argued the former Itay international during his appearance on DAZN via FcInterNews.

“In my opinion, he has a better kick. He’s also a better crosser. He can change the game. They are very similar, even structurally and physically, but what Dimarco does on the run, only a few can imitate.

“Even in the derby, on a change of play by Calhanogl. He made a control-oriented run and you already know that Dimarco’s cross will reach as if you were on the Playstation and you press the cross button and you want it to arrive at the second post perfectly.”

Dimarco started his career at Inter’s academy but had to prove his worth through several loan spells. After earning the plaudits at Hellas Verona, Simone Inzaghi opted to give him an opportunity upon his arrival at the club in the summer of 2021.

The Italy international certainly made the most out of it, and he has now cemented himself as a pillar for both club and country.
