Nicola Zalewski could make his first start for Inter Milan against Fiorentina on Monday with Federico Dimarco not at his best.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Nicola Zalewski joined Inter during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old arrived on loan from Roma right at the end of the window. He came in as the replacement for Canadian international Tajon Buchanan, who joined Villarreal on loan.
Zalewski completed his move to Inter less than 24 hours before the derby against AC Milan.
However, the Pole was available for that match. And he came off the bench, assisting Stefan de Vrij’s stoppage time equalizer in his first appearance.

That was certainly a memorable first outing in an Inter shirt for Zalewski. But he has yet to have his full debut.
Meanwhile, Zalewski was not available for Inter’s disastrous 3-0 loss to Fiorentina during the week.
That is because the match was technically a continuation of a fixture that had kicked off in December. Therefore, Inter could not field Zalewski who they had registered afterwards.
But Zalewski will certainly be available on Monday.
And according to Tuttosport, there is every chance that the Polish international will get his first start for Inter.
Carlos Augusto started on the left flank on Thursday. But the Brazilian is unlikely to start on Monday.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco is not at his best. The 27-year-old has been suffering from a fever.
That meant that Dimarco was not able to start on Thursday, although he came off the bench. And Dimarco trained separately from the rest of the squad yesterday.
Therefore, the time could certainly be right for Nicola Zalewski to make his full debut.
