Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez will be keen to start being more decisive in matches against the biggest teams for Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They suggest that the Argentine will want to shake off the “flat-track bully” accusations.
Throughout his time at Inter, there have sometimes been accusations that Inter captain Lautaro Martinez doesn’t have enough of an impact in the biggest matches.
The 27-year-old has certainly been prolific. He has been Inter’s top scorer for each of the past three seasons, and last season was the top scorer for all of Serie A.
However, the issue concerns Martinez’s relative lack of goals against certain opposition.
The Inter captain has not managed to regularly score against Juventus. And in big Champions League matches, he has rarely inspired Inter to victory.
Lautaro Martinez Aiming To Make More Impact For Inter Milan Against The Biggest Teams
Inter’s captain has once again put in a couple less-than-inspiring displays over the last week.
Against both AC Milan and Fiorentina, Lautaro Martinez failed to get on the scoresheet.

Therefore, the frustration has started to emerge again.
But on the other hand, Martinez has the perfect opportunity to respond immediately.
Inter’s next two matches are against Fiorentina and Juventus.
These will be virtually must-win encounters. And Inter will be well aware of just how tough both are going to be.
Therefore, Martinez has the ideal opportunity to put some of the criticisms about his performances in big matches to rest.
