Lega Calcio has demoted referee Federico La Penna to Serie B after a series of woeful calls in Monday’s game between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 41-year-old isn’t the only match official punished by the division’s governing body.

Indeed, his decisions led to two scoreline changes in the first half.
He gifted Inter a corner leading to the opening goal, even though Alessandro Bastoni was late to rescue the ball.
Afterward, he awarded a suspicious penalty to Fiorentina, subsequently converted by Rolando Mandragora.
