Inter Milan are keen to get rid of an €85 million release clause in the contract of striker Marcus Thuram next summer.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908. They report that the Nerazzurri are increasingly nervous as that no longer appears to be a ridiculous fee for the Frenchman.
At the moment, striker Marcus Thuram has a release clause worth €85 million in his contract with Inter.
The Frenchman signed a five-year deal in the summer of 2023 to join Inter on a free transfer. He arrived after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach expired.
Inter Milan Keen To Remove €85M Release Clause For Marcus Thuram
Naturally, the release clause in striker Thuram’s contract is quite high.
€85 million is a fee that very few clubs in Europe would be able to consider paying. And it would constitute a significant investment, meaning that a club paying it would have to consider Thuram a priority target.
However, the 27-year-old’s evolution at Inter suggest that it’s not a ridiculous notion to consider.
Inter are wary of a big club coming in and putting that €85 million figure on the table.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri want to secure control of Thuram’s future once and for all.
Sky report that Inter are keen to negotiate new terms with Marcus Thuram – removing the release clause altogether.
HE IS THE ONLY DRIBBLER AND SPEEDSTER IN THE TEAM, SO WISE TO KEEP HIM. ALTHOUGH I MISS PERISIC AND THE OTHER GUY AT PSG.
Perisic just scored against Juv yesterday. This man is really loving to score on them. lol. Still remember the 4-2 game for coppa italia few years ago. What a player.
