Marcus Thuram will not start today’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan to avoid more serious injury.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Marcus Thuram will not start for Inter Milan against Juventus in the Derby d’Italia this evening.
The Frenchman has done everything he can to rush back to fitness for the massive Serie A match.
However, Thuram is not ready to do so. Therefore, Mehdi Taremi will start the match alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack.
Why Marcus Thuram Won’t Be Risked In Juventus Vs Inter Milan Serie A Clash
Marcus Thuram is available in the Inter squad for this evening’s match.
Therefore, it is possible that the 27-year-old will come off the bench during the second half.

However, there is a feeling that Thuram has yet to fully shake off the ankle knock that he sustained during last Monday’s Serie A match against Fiorentina.
Thuram is back in training. But he is still feeling some discomfort in his ankle.
Therefore, the feeling is that it will be hard for Thuram to run in a normal manner.
Accordingly, if the Frenchman were to play for too long, there would be a risk of him suffering a muscle injury.
