Inter Milan veteran Henrikh Mkhitaryan has found himself at fans’ mercy after Sunday’s dismal Serie A loss at Juventus.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, his post-match remarks haven’t sat well with the Nerazzurri faithful.
Simone Inzaghi fielded his best team in Turin, with only Marcus Thuram missing from the starting line-up due to a knock.
However, not even the Frenchman’s inclusion in the second half could save Inter from losing 1-0.
Unfortunately, numerous squandered chances in the opening 45 minutes backfired on the reigning Scudetto holders.
On the bright side, Napoli couldn’t punish Inter as they drew 2-2 at Lazio a day before.
Inter Milan Star Henrikh Mkhitaryan Falls Out of Favor With Fans
After the game, Henrikh Mkhitaryan reviewed the Turin proceedings but in a way that didn’t please the Inter fan base.
As a result, the ex-Roma midfielder is at risk of falling out of favor with the supporters. That’s amid his uncertain future at Giuseppe Meazza.

Indeed, at 36, he’s in his twilight years, while he only has just over a year left to run on his contract at Inter.
More importantly, his performances this season have often failed to impress, leaving a question mark over his head.
Being 36, at the end of his career, etc. which some of the above “experts” point out are irrelevant when one of Italy’s top managers fields Miki again and again—and not as a substitute. Just last week I watched Miki run at his usual amazing speed, leaving players ten years younger behind. Before criticizing Miki, remember this: his job is: 1. To recover the ball from tight spots; 2. To feed passes to the shooters; 3. Not allow the opposition’s shooters from moving forward; 4. Being experienced and smart, he reads the field better than anyone. He has the mind of a coach.
The last time I check he wasn’t the one who kept blasting over every chance he got in front of goal. That would be Lautaro in fact Dumfries had more potential to score because he could hit the target. Mihki is actually at the end of his career and he’s doing much more the problem is Inzaghi keeps using him like a fresh 21 year old hungry player.
I’ve been saying he’s not supposed to be playing full 90s but after his last injury, it’s now showing for sure. He’s good but he can’t keep it up much longer so he needs to be a bench player and let Barella and Fratessi play or have Zelinski play in his role but then we have to rely on Asslani again for Hakan. As for Lautaro, idk what may have happened but at least he tried unlike Taremi or Correa. We have no back ups to fill in and the so called backups we do are not Inter grade material.
Yeah I know you didn’t haha I just can’t understand where the criticism could come from after making comments that aren’t a misrepresentation of the truth.
what did he say that didn’nt go down well with the fans?

I can only speak for myself,” continued Mkhtaryan. “But maybe the problem is that because we know how strong a team we are, we relax too much.”
“Then we go out onto the pitch not focused.”
“We think we can win matches, and in the end we pay,” this part
I don’t think he lied at all. It’s the gospel truth and is the same sentiments I share. They go into each match expecting to win…which could be a great mentality to have just that they don’t act on that mindset. Having that mentality is good but if you don’t actually go out and play as good as you think you are then that mentality works against you. You can see by how wasteful they are that they’re almost like “Meh, another chance will come” whereas all other teams that play vs us are so clinical knowing that that might be the only chance they get. Then we go on to say how unlucky we are. It’s not a problem of luck but one of complacency.
I never said he lied? I just answered the question as to what the criticism was about…
