A minor calf injury threatens to rule Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto out of the upcoming home clash against Genoa.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old trained separately from the team yesterday.
In addition to Marcus Thuram, Augusto is at risk of watching Genoa’s visit to Giuseppe Meazza from the stands.
The former Monza defender came off the bench in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Juventus, replacing Federico Dimarco.
However, he came out battered and could stay on the sidelines temporarily as a result.
Inter Milan Wingback Carlos Augusto Risks Missing Genoa Clash
If Augusto fails to recover for Genoa, Simone Inzaghi could use him in the Coppa Italiana semi-final tie against Lazio.
Indeed, the Inter boss must hand Dimarco some rest ahead of Serie A’s top-table six-pointer against Napoli.

The two teams will lock horns in Naples at the start of March.
With only two points separating them going into the weekend, that mouth-watering fixture could determine the title fate.
Hopefully, Augusto will be at Inzaghi’s disposal by then.
