Francesco Acerbi has become a defensive stalwart for Inter Milan since joining the club from Lazio in 2022.
Despite arriving at Giuseppe Meazza as a veteran, Acerbi has spent his best playing days with Inter.
Indeed, the 37-year-old won his first Scudetto with the Nerazzurri last term.
More importantly, Simone Inzaghi considers him indispensable and barely omits him from the starting line-up.
Acerbi was at the heart of Inzaghi’s backline in Sunday’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.
That was his 100th appearance for Inter as the club took to X to congratulate the Italian center-back for this milestone.
Inter posted a picture of the left-footed star, saying: “100 appearances for Acerbi in our shirt.”
