The Italian Referees Association has appointed Marco Piccinini as the main referee for Saturday’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Genoa.
As confirmed by Lega Calcio via FCInterNews, Piccinini will blow the first whistle at the San Siro this weekend.
Inter will be out to bounce back from last weekend’s Derby d’Italia heartbreak.
Indeed, Simone Inzaghi slumped to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Juventus in their last Serie A outing.
A dismal result in Turin saw the reigning Scudetto holders fall two points behind leaders Napoli.
However, Inzaghi’s charges remain firmly in contention for the title ahead of a top-table six-pointer in Naples at the start of March.
